You MUST download the Handbook BEFORE you fill out the application for middle-high school students. It is HIGHLY recommended to print this as well, as it lists supplies and books required for specific courses.
The application provides criteria for class placement of primary students to ensure they get the most of out co-op. As homeschoolers, we are not bound to birthdays dictating grade placement. For elementary students, we recommended placing children with their socially equivalent peers, even if they are academically advanced, as these classes are not aimed at challenging students academically. In the application below, there are some basic guidelines to help guide placement. If you aren't sure where your child may be most comfortable or have questions concerning academic or social maturity level, contact us at info.ochea@yahoo.com. We're happy to talk through any concerns.
All members of Co-op and any family members that will be serving at Co-op must have a background check current within the last 3 years. This background check must include National Criminal Database and Sex Offender Registry search. If you have had one done through another organization and can provide a copy to OCHEA by July 20th, you do not have to have another one done. If you have not had one done in the last 3 years or cannot obtain a copy, please fill out the "Background Check Information Form" below the Co-op Application. The cost of this screening will be included in your total fees for the year, which is indicated at the bottom of the Co-op Application.
